🎥 31 May 2025 — "We did two things yesterday"

59s · English · linked to post message1190

Good morning. Yesterday was crazy — we did two things. One, we got back Shopify Payments, which took us only 16 months. Before, for the last 12 months, we worked only with PayPal, so people couldn't pay later, couldn't buy with a card straight from checkout. Two, we changed the checkout — we added one more button. Now people can buy ready-to-ship OR buy with shipping in 3–4 months. That's going to change the business. That's how we're going to achieve $1M+ revenue next month. We are back.

Why it matters: Reveals the actual mechanism behind the public $1M-month push: a pre-order / ship-in-3-4-months checkout button. → [[initial-themes-2026-04/01 - Revenue Milestones & Numbers]], [[../content/video-ideas/01 - Lost Shopify Payments]].

🎥 3 Jun 2025 — "Find the right funnel metric"

58s · English · message1203

One big thing we're testing is: what metric should we look for. For this business, it's the add-to-cart ratio — how good-quality traffic are we getting. When you raise the budget for ads, you have a huge problem: sometimes ads spend on the wrong audiences, so you need to manually turn off things that bring bad traffic — low add-to-cart rate, high bounce. Find the funnel metric that tells you: are you doing good work getting more traffic and spending more on ads.

Why it matters: The verbal layer under [[initial-themes-2026-04/06 - Ads, Funnel Metrics & Scaling]]. Good for [[../content/video-ideas/15 - Funnel Metrics Not Purchases]] — he literally narrates the thesis.

🎥 8 Sep 2025 — "I moved country"

59s · English · message1240

Hey guys, long time no see. I have moved to a new house, to a new country — closest to New York. In the next month we're going to do a lot of activities to open the factory in New York. That looks like the first target. We'll try to put everything together to show you how I build the main manufacturing factory in the US. If you have questions or context, help me in the comments. This manufacturing factory thing is something that really drives me — so I'm going to share it.

Why it matters: Major biographical shift. He moved countries (country not explicitly named; "closest to New York" likely means the NE USA or Canada). NY factory plan predates the Jacksonville warehouse → two separate US buildouts. Critical for [[../content/video-ideas/16 - Jacksonville Warehouse]] (reframe: warehouse is phase 2, factory is phase 1) and unlocks a whole relocation-story video.

🎥 9 Dec 2025 — "Spend more on marketing, not savings"

60s · English · message1278

I'm watching a lot of founders' podcasts, and everyone talks about saving money to go through the dark times. But somehow I think business has changed. Maybe I'll fuck up and in six months tell you that wasn't true. But I think the biggest issue for most people who try to grow something is — in the first years they don't invest enough money in marketing. They don't invest enough to get the brand known, to get more sales. Then the business isn't growing, and you start finding problems where they aren't. My theory with my youngest one, Tio — the problem is you don't spend enough money.

Why it matters: (a) First mention of product Tio. (b) Direct contrarian take on founder-advice canon. (c) Sets up the Jan–Apr 2026 "spent personal money to keep business alive" arc. Great YT title: "The founder advice that's actually killing your business."

🎥 15 Apr 2026 — "Payouts came back in an hour"

60s · English · message1367

Today we're at The Depot to understand what they're selling here, because we're close to launching our product. What I wanted to share: this morning I sent my personal funds to the company so we can keep doing the things we need to do. In one hour, payouts are back and we can receive our money — a lot of money now. This is about how much you believe in the things you do. The more you believe, the more everything happens. We changed some things we were planning to do because this money wasn't coming — again, see everything is right.

Why it matters: The closing scene of the current arc. Payout crisis → personal funds bet → same-day resolution. Perfect story-end for any "how we got through 2026 Q1" video.
